FC Strathmore Split are currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified, enthusiastic and experienced person’s to apply for the role of Junior Technical Director.
Primarily this role will take ownership of the Miniroos and Junior coaching.
This includes a responsibility to help promote a good club culture, provide a safe and inclusive environment, and maintain a sustainable coaching system that will provide all of our Miniroos and Junior coaches with the support required to develop our future talent.
Reporting to the committee, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop and implement coaching standards, roles and responsibilities, and professional support and development pathways to coaching and playing groups.
Support the Clubs football operations, coaches, and managers to develop and implement a football development plan and playing model in accordance with the National Curriculum for all age groups.
Assist the committee in the appointment of all junior coaches.
In conjunction with coaches, oversee the selection of respective teams or squads.
Dispute resolution / mediation function – interface for parent feedback, monitoring ‘health’ issues and grievance handling process
Establish a communication strategy with our coaches to provide advice and support on coaching matters.
Provide coaches with assessments covering training and game day activities.
Coaching workshops and Education/information sessions.
Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with all coaches, the committee, and various stakeholders, including other Clubs and FV.
Regularly monitor current trends in football and other sports to provide updates to coaches.
Applicants should possess:
Current appropriate level of FFA or equivalent Coaching Accreditation, presently C License.
Hold or willing to apply for a current volunteer “working with children” check.
Minimum 2-3 years coaching experience at Junior or Senior level.
Very good understanding of the Football National Curriculum and quality coaching behaviors required for young children.
Hold a current WWCC
